Facilities Manager Job Description
-
The Facilities Manager will work and communicate with the Trustee for
Facilities and the Congregational Administrator in identifying,
assessing and performing maintenance and repair needs of the building
and grounds.

The Facilities Manager will be able to work independently in
determining regular custodial upkeep needs and carrying them out to
ensure a safe, clean, functioning environment. Responsibilities include:

Maintaining cleanliness of entire building

Vacuuming of carpeted areas, sweeping and mopping floors
-
Cleaning of restrooms, restocking of supplies
-
Disposal of trash inside and outside of building
-
Recycling of paper, aluminum, etc.

Other general maintenance as determined
-
Purchasing building supplies as needed
-
Maintaining outdoor/parking area lighting
-
Serve as the “go-to” person in all matters relating to the facilities
and grounds.

Contact and consult with outside contractors when necessary for
repairs, scheduled equipment maintenance, snow removal, etc. This is
done jointly with Trustee for Facilities.

Keep annual calendar of scheduled maintenance and certification items
and ensure timely completion. Includes Fall and Spring Clean-ups.

Knows the status of the building, facilities, grounds, infrastructure
at all times by regular walk-through inside and outside building.

Weekly set up/removal of classroom walls, tables and chairs in
preparation for Sunday religious education, and for scheduled meetings.

Keep a current list of maintenance and repair items.
-
Occasional evening and weekend hours will be necessary.
